Absolute Baby is here to provide services that can reduce the stress of CQ local families, even just a little, be it financially, storage-wise, with peace of mind or all three. We can provide you with the right advice, reliable equipment and the best service possible and we pride ourselves on our professional customer service, friendly, experienced staff.
Our Story
Absolute Baby Rockhampton started trading in 2016, but our story starts long before that.

The brand new Absolute Baby shop was opened in Septmber with a small range of the must haves your your little one.
The shop range has been expanding every week and will soon have all the things your baby needs.
2021 was been a roller coaster and Bec’s car was damaged meaning mobile services had to be put on hold.
She took this oppertunity to refresh the website and focus on improoving her skills.
2020 was a tough year for us all with Covid-19 spinning the world sideways and putting many of us into lockdowns. Absolute Baby was able to continue offering essential car seat services during this time and we did our best to keep families informed and safe.
The Absolute Baby base was moved to Frenchville when the Christiansen family bought a house allowing better access for on-site installs.
After 3 years the entire maternity dress collection (that had grown to over 100 items) was sold to Ashlea at AylaBelle Maternity Dress Hire and moved to Mackay to make room for other ideas.
Bec had an idea marinating about broadened Absolute Baby’s focus to include a locals directory and offer more for assistance to the families here in CQ and visiting our great region.
There was a need for Absolute Baby to continue to grow and car safety seat services were offered in Gladstone and Yeppoon on a bi-monthly schedule.
Baby Got Shade car window coverings were added to the range of products available from Absolute Baby and an application service was included too.
Absolute Baby expanded again in 2018 with short and long term hire of car safety seats, capsules and baby equipment being added to the brand.
The range of modern, high quality baby equipment can be hired at great prices for a week, a few weeks or even a few months to suit the needs of local parents.
If families are visiting Rockhampton and Central Queensland, they can expect happy holidays by hiring items from us.
February 2017 gave Bec the oppertunity to purchase a small collection of about 30 maternity dresses that would become hire stock for the mums-to-be of CQ to use in maternity photos. The collection continually grew over the year.
In November 2017, Rebecca attended training in Melbourne, to complete the ACRI ‘Accredited Child Safety Seat Instructor’ course, allowing her to provide workplace specific training for various industries including:
Automotive Service, Government departments; social and family services; childcare services and organisations; and family day care educators.
While still in Townsville, Bec completed ‘Selection and installation of child restraint systems’ Type 1 Child Passenger Safety Technician from ACRI (Australian Child restraint Resource Initiative).
In September 2016 the Christiansen family made the choice to return home, to Rockhampton and Rebecca saw the need for her new skills locally.
She noticed local parents weren’t able to access services that could save them time, money and stress, and so Absolute Baby was ‘born’ in October 2016 providing car safety seat installs and checks & pram and car seat cleaning as a mobile service.
As Bubs2Bratz Nursery Hire grew Rebecca started supervised installs under the watchful eye of Amanda. This too was a great learning experience and Bec was able to have one-on-0ne coaching from an experienced ambulance officer who had provided car safety seat installs.
In 2014 the Christriansen family left their home town of Rockhampton and headed to Townsville, where Rebecca started working for Bubs2Bratz Nursery Hire, a job she loved.
While there she shined with high attention to detail and great customer service. Rebecca fine tuned the car seat and pram cleaning process and achieved great results.
Meet Rebecca
As a parent of gorgeous identical twin girls (Paige and Avril), I understand what is involved in starting a family and how parents place the safety of their children beyond all else. I have a strong commitment to children’s safety, especially in the car.
As a family we have experienced first-hand the overwhelming cost of purchasing baby equipment (times two), only to have it gathering dust after less than six months of use. The dilemma of a two children needing the same, sometimes expensive equipment at the same time or the stress of trying to organise a holiday and have to transport lots baby equipment.
You can trust that I am qualified and experienced to help you navigate the world of child car safety seat stages and terminology and will provide you with the best service possible.
Which all means I have been trained specifically by Australia’s only specialist child car safety seat body in fitment, installation and customer education of child car safety seats and I am here to help you navigate the world of child car safety seat stages and terminology.
