Babies are messy and that mess often affects more than just their clothes. Absolute Baby recognises that some families lack the time, knowledge and experience to keep their children’s car safety seats, prams and other items clean and healthy!
If you are using a hand-me-down or second-hand car seat or pram, why not have it professionally cleaned and sanitised before utilising it for your new baby – because your children deserve the cleanest possible transport! (We can clean other items too, just ask).
At Absolute Baby we exercise the utmost care in cleaning the baby equipment entrusted to us.
I booked my double seat pram in for a clean which was embarrassingly dirty after I slacked off with spot cleaning and I am over the moon with how clean she go it, it looks brand new.

Pram Cleaning
A clean pram will revitalise it, give it a new lease on life and keep germs away from your little one.
The first thing we do when you hand over your pram is extensive vacuum it to remove dust, dirt, sand and those hard to get to crumbs. Then it’s stripped as much as possible; so we can really get all the little nasties.
The seat, liner, hood, basket and harness are scrubbed, cleaned, rinsed and checked (and repeated, and repeated again, if necessary).
Any debris or hair is removed from the axels and the bearings are lubricated. The tyres have any rocks/prickles removed before being pumped up and blackened.
The bare frame is cleaned, and polished. Any moving parts are lubricated, screws are tightened and then your pram is reassembled.
It gets given a final check over to ensure it’s in good working condition. A final steam is used to kill any remaining bacteria while leaving no toxic residue.
Items in a very soiled condition or with stubborn stains may take longer – but you’ll always be kept in the loop.
We will report back to you any issues, as they are identified.
Timing: Your shiny clean pram is usually returned to you within 3 to 5 days, weather dependant.

Car Seat Cleaning
This is a complete clean and detail of your baby capsule or car seat. You really don’t need to worry about anything – we can even remove the car seat from your vehicle when you drop it off and then professionally install on pick up.
When your car seat arrives it’s vacuum to remove dust, dirt, sand and those hard to get to crumbs. We then strip it down and the fabric covers and inserts are washed following the manufacturer’s instructions (with your babies health and sensitive skin in mind).
The plastic shell, harness, tether and buckles are cleaned and checked for wear and damage. Finally the car seat is reassembled and given a final check to ensure it’s in good working condition (we’ll let you know about any problems).
Timing generally we require about 24 hours to get your car seat back into great shape. Please let us know when booking if you have a preferred collection time.
We can offer an express schedule for quick returns (strictly by pre-arrangement and weather dependant):

I would highly recommend Bec. She is super amazing, easy to talk to and very accommodating with what you need. My car seats always come back looking like new after they have been cleaned.
Also Bec is very knowledgeable with car seat safety and installation and is happy to point out things you didn’t know or give advice on things you need help with. You won’t be disappointed!!!
